da apostebet: Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Harrison Reed and the club’s use of him.
da premier bet: At 24 years of age now, the academy graduate has made just 30 appearances for the Southampton first-team amid a number of spells away from St Mary’s on loan – he has never really nailed down a place in the starting XI on the south coast.
Reed has spent time with Norwich and Blackburn in the past, and is currently on a season-long loan with Fulham where he has made 12 Championship appearances so far.
Interestingly, Reed is a versatile figure who can play in central midfield, defensive midfield or on the right flank, which would allow him to play in at least two positions in Ralph Hasenhuttl’s preferred 4-2-2-2 formation.
One fan below thinks that Reed could also provide cover at full-back – something that Hasenhuttl may need having started Stuart Armstrong at right wing-back last time out – whereas another supporter said that they would “have him back and playing tomorrow”.
Let’s take a look at some more of the Twitter reaction…
