da betsson: Lots of Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react after it was revealed by the BBC’s David Ornstein that a fee in the region of £35m – £40m has been agreed with Arsenal for Alex Iwobi.
The Nigeria international scored three goals and recorded six assists in the Premier League for the Gunners last term, but the north Londoners appear to be happy with the money on offer and are prepared to let the 23-year-old leave the Emirates Stadium.
The signing of Nicolas Pepe from Lille may have pushed Iwobi down the pecking order, and the Toffees have wasted no time in lining up the attacker after their pursuit of Wilfried Zaha fizzled out.
The Ivorian was sent home from training today by Roy Hodgson and the former England manager also confirmed that the 26-year-old would be staying at the club, so Marcel Brands appears to have quickly moved for an alternative.
